Messaging terms

These messaging terms govern the text message programme operated by Affordable Getaways ("we", "us", "our") at affordablegetaways.net. They form part of our terms and conditions and should be read with our privacy policy.

1. Programme description

If you provide your mobile number and give your express written consent, we may send you text messages relating to the enquiry you submitted and to bookings you have made, including replies to your questions, confirmations, and time-sensitive travel notifications such as a supplier schedule change. This is a customer care and transactional programme. We do not send recurring marketing campaigns through it.

2. Consent

Consent is obtained through a checkbox on our contact form which is unchecked by default. You must affirmatively check it. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. You may submit an enquiry, and you may search and book travel, without providing a mobile number or agreeing to receive messages.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your enquiry and your bookings.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by, and payable to, your mobile service provider. We do not charge for the messages themselves. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. How to opt out

You may cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you reply STOP we will send one confirmation message and will not send further messages unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by emailing hello@affordablegetaways.net with the mobile number to remove.

6. How to get help

Reply HELP to any message from us, or email hello@affordablegetaways.net, and we will respond with assistance.

7. Supported carriers

Delivery is subject to the capabilities of your carrier and network. Messages may not be deliverable on all carriers or in all areas, and delivery is not guaranteed.

8. Privacy

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except subcontractors and service providers acting on our behalf strictly to operate the messaging service, and those parties are prohibited from using the information for any other purpose. Information collected in connection with this programme is handled as described in our privacy policy.

9. Changes

We may amend these messaging terms. The version published on this page at the time a message is sent is the version that applies.
